To help decide what program fits best for you, here is a list of answers to the most frequently asked questions.

How do I Choose a menu?

We have a 4-week rotating menu. Each week consists of 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 pork and 1 pasta meal. If there is a meal that you don’t prefer or cannot eat due to dietary restrictions, you can swap for a frozen entree option.

What time will my Meals be delivered?

Meals are delivered between 11:30 am  to 1:00 pm Monday to Friday. You will receive your meal depending on where you fall on the volunteer drivers route sheet.

What About Meals For The Weekend? 

We offer frozen meals for the weekend. Frozen meals are delivered along with the fresh at the end of the week and are accompanied by a frozen soup with dessert. If you prefer extra fresh meals for the weekend, meals would be the same entree as the day of your delivery.

Where Are Meals Made & Packaged?

Meals are made and packaged at Langley’s own Gateway Of Hope and delivered by volunteers directly to your door.

Do I Need To Return The Meal Containers?

No. All meal containers are recyclable!

What Happens If I Can’t Be Home At The Delivery Time?

As long as you call with 72 hours notice, we can stop your service for 1 day.  If you still wish to receive the meal but will not be home to receive it, we can still send the meal, however arrangements need to be made for where the meal should be left (i.e. at your door, with a neighbour etc.).

Can I Change My Delivery Days?

Absolutely! Days of delivery can be changed as long as we have 24 hours notice. 

How Do I Pay For The Meals?

We accept cash, cheques, PayPal or money order. Payment can be made online, in person, or via mail (please do not mail cash).

How Much Do The Meals Cost?

Fresh Daily Entrée (soup and dessert included): $6.50
Frozen Entrée (soup and dessert included): $6.50
Fresh Daily Sandwich: $3.50

Is any Cost Covered By Social Services?

No. The only agency that covers meals is Veteran’s Affairs for their clients who qualify. Call VAC at 1-866-522-2122 to inquire about eligibility.
